This EGR problem is getting on my nerves.

Why don't you just disable or remove it. Our EGR was giving us trouble so we disabled it. They're completely pointless.

I'd do just that if it weren't for my whiny mother. she thought the car was going to catch fire, or I would asphyxiate because a tube connecting the EGR broke.

If it's anything like our renault you can unbolt it, rotate it 180 degrees and bolt it back down. They might not even notice.

it's most certainly not like that, There is an EGR delete available, but I'll be getting a constant CEL, and forfeiting passing emissions.

Ah we avoided the CEL by rotating it and leaving it plugged in. It hasn't been tested yet but I assume it'll go through emissions. If it doesn't we'll flip it back for the test.
